About Me
Welcome to my studio.

I live in Visalia, California with my husband Bob, three dogs, one cat, a pond full of Koi, an aviary with Australian Grasskeets and rosey Bourks, and a few turtles. Needless to say, I don't get away much. I love to plant flowers, covering things with broken plates, pique assiette, and making beads from glass, felt, polymer clay and anything else that isn't tied down.
I had a craft and bead store for nineteen years, called Cozy Cat Creations. I designed soft craft patterns, wrote craft instruction books and sold my craft kits.

When I closed the business in 1999, I was kind of lost. I have worked in just about every art medium, but nothing really kept my interest. I dabbled in antiques for a while, went back to college, but it still wasn't me. I had taken a lampwork class in the 90's and really liked it, but it was cost and time prohibitive. Now I was free to try it again. In 2005 I bought a kiln and GTT torch. I played and read everything I could find on glass bead making. The lampwork community is one of the most giving groups I have ever dealt with. They are so willing to share what they know. Then I started taking classes. Thanks to Scarab Glass Works in Fresno, I was able to learn from Kim Osibin, Jim Smircich, Toni Lutman, Sherry Bellamy, Kerri Fuhr, Leah Fairbanks and others.
I continue to take classes and go to Tucson as often as I can to get ideas for jewelry designs.
